Bamboo sheets
It is recommended to give your new bamboo sheets a wash before first use. Use a cold wash setting with mild detergent on a gentle setting. Hang dry in direct sunlight. Avoid dryer.
Store your bamboo sheets in a dry linen cabinet.
Wash sheets once a week. Twice may be suitable for those with certain skin allergies. Use a cold wash setting with mild detergent on a gentle setting. Hang dry in direct sunlight. Avoid dryer.
Repurpose your sheets at their end of life before discarding. Picnics, pillow forts, pet blankets and ironing board covers are all great ideas!
Pillow
Open your Ecoy pillow box with a pair of scissors. Once the vacuum seal wrapping is broken, give the pillow 10 minutes to fully decompress. Try both the high and short side of your pillow to find the right fit. You can even flip it on its head if you would like a flatter sleeping experience.
The foam itself naturally inhibits the growth of dust mites. It is just the surface you need to sanitise. Sprinkle baking soda and let sit for 30 minutes before vacuuming. If spot cleaning is needed, use a damp cloth with mild detergent. Do not wash in machine or put in dryer.
2-3 years with proper care.
Repurpose or donate your old pillows. You can cut the memory foam into any suitable shape. Try turning them into pet beds, floor cushions, draught stoppers or stuffing for bean bags!
Protector
Cold wash using a delicate-mild detergent. Can be tumble dried on a low heat setting. Do not bleach. Do not iron
Up to 2 years. Replace when you notice holes or worn and tattered areas that may impact effectiveness of the mattress protector.
Donate to family and friends, charities or animal shelter.
Linen Bamboo Blanket
Open your Ecoy Linen Bamboo Blanket and allow up to 30 minutes for it to decompress from the vacuum sealing process.
Machine wash with mild detergent on gentle setting.
5-8 years with proper care.
Recycle, repurpose or donate your old blanket. Tip: try turning them into pet beds, floor cushions, draught stoppers or stuffing for bean bags!
Quilt
Because quilts typically have quilt covers, you will rarely need to wash your quilt! Unless there's been a specific incident in which the quilt has been dirtied, washing it once or twice a year should suffice. Use a cold wash setting with mild detergent on a gentle setting. Hang dry in direct sunlight. Avoid dryer.
Up to 5 years.
See if you can repurpose your quilt for something new! Perhaps a dog bed, table runners, Christmas stockings, upholstery - go nuts!
