How it works
Why Ecoy sleeps cooler
More fabric touching your skin
Our sateen weave runs long, flat threads across the surface, so more of the cool fabric touches your skin and helps draw heat away.
400 thread count, tightly woven
A dense, smooth surface that feels silky, not slippery.
Absorbs, not just wicks
Bamboo draws moisture into the fibre and away from your skin.
Cool to the touch, tested
Independently lab-tested by SGS. See the number below.

Why you wake up hot
It's not just the heat. It's what you're sleeping in.
A lot of bedding is made to hold warmth in. Cotton and polyester can trap heat and moisture against your skin, so the bed can feel warmer as the night goes on.
Your sheets should help heat move away from you, not hold it in.
- You get into a cool bed
- The sheets warm up and hold it in
- You kick the doona off
- You're awake and sweaty at 2am
The number
Q-max measures how fast fabric pulls heat from your skin the moment you touch it. The higher the number, the cooler it feels. SGS tested our bamboo sateen five times and it averaged 0.39.
Ecoy Cooling Bamboo was tested by SGS-CSTC, 3 June 2026, report SL52615313484901TX: a plate 20°C warmer than the fabric is pressed onto it at 20°C and 65% humidity. Results apply to the sample tested. Nylon, cotton and linen figures are estimates for typical fabrics.
OEKO-TEX® certified · SGS tested
What's in the fabric, and what isn't
We had our bamboo sateen tested for the chemicals people ask us about most. Here are the results.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified
Our bamboo sheets, quilt covers and pillowcases are made from fabric certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, product class II, for items worn against skin. Tested for harmful substances by the TESTEX institute, Zurich. Valid to January 2027. Certificate number available on request.
Formaldehyde
Not detected after one wash. 21 mg/kg before washing, against the 75 mg/kg limit.
Azo dyes
None of the restricted azo dye amines detected.
Heavy metals
12 metals tested. 11 not detected. Nickel at 0.9 mg/kg, against a 4.0 limit.
pH
5.6, inside the 4.0 to 7.5 range for fabric worn against skin.
"Safe" means the result is within the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 limit for fabric worn against skin. Limits are set by OEKO-TEX, and the fabric was independently tested by SGS-CSTC, May to June 2026, reports GZHL260502431401SD and GZHL260502431801SD. Results apply to the samples tested.

Questions
Before you switch
Will they be too cold in winter?
No. Bamboo breathes, so it lets heat out when you're warm and still feels soft and cosy under a doona when it's cold. Plenty of customers use theirs all year.
How do I wash them?
Cold or warm machine wash on a gentle cycle, with a mild detergent and no bleach. Line dry in the shade. Skip the dryer: high heat shortens the life of bamboo.
Will they fit my deep mattress?
Yes. Our fitted sheets have extra-deep walls: 45cm on Double, Queen, King and Super King, and 40cm on King Single. We also cut them slightly generous, because bamboo settles a little over the first few washes.
What if I don't love them?
Sleep on them for up to 90 nights. If they're not for you, send them back for a full refund, and we'll cover the return postage.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 business days with Australia Post. Choose standard or express at checkout. Shipping is free on orders over $200.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Our sheets, quilt covers and pillowcases come with a 2-year warranty, and our quilts and Flip Cooling Pillows with 5 years.
